End of Summer Pizza

So last year my dad's fig tree produced so many figs we couldn't eat them fast enough but this year has been much less well, fruitful... So since this seemed like the last round of figs until next year I decided to make a caramelized onion and fig pizza. So good and so easy!

Caramelized Onion and Fig Pizza

Ingredients
1 tube of store bought pizza dough
1T ricotta
1T blue cheese
1T cream cheese
1/2t thyme
1/2t rosemary
1/4 white onion thinly sliced
4-6 fresh figs thinly sliced
3 pieces of bacon crumbled
2T olive oil
pinch of salt and sugar
handful shredded mozzarella or italian blend

Preheat oven to 400 ° Spray and sprinkle a pizza or cookie sheet with cooking spray and cornmeal then roll out dough. Cook onions in 1T olive oil on medium heat with a pinch of salt and sugar until they start to caramelize. I like to cook the bacon under the broiler until almost completely done then chop.
Cook pizza dough for 5 minutes then brush with remaining 1T of olive oil. Combine cheeses, rosemary, and thyme and spread over crust. Top with onions, figs, and bacon and finish with a handful of shredded mozzarella or italian blend and cook for 15-20 minutes.

Yay! A New Toy!

I love finding a new website to keep me occupied and this one is fun and helpful! It allows you to create collages or inspiration boards from a stock of web images and let's you add your own web images then edit them to your heart's delight adding backgrounds or text plus it tells you where the items came from! I highly recommend checking it out on one of those days when you are itching for a project and the day is dragging by. Here's a little sample...

Beautifully over the top Christian Louboutins

Martha Martha Martha

Martha's ideas are seemingly endless from spooky to cute...the brain cupcakes are so creepy I don't know if I could actually eat one.

A Gorey Halloween

I love Edward Gorey and his wicked sense of humor is perfect for this time of year.

Something Wicked...

Halloween is quickly approaching and I have been trying to get into the spirit of things. I think these spirits might help! Perfect pours for your Halloween bash from Martha Stewart, Incognito and Spellbound wines...

Light It Up

1. Lotus Chandelier from Viva Terra
2. Cascade Luminaire from the Kentfield Collection
3. Red Chandeleir as seen on Style Hive
4. Black Chandelier from Urge the Boys

I desperately want a chandelier in every room of my house. I can not get enough of them and they come on everything now from pillows for the sofa to plates from Rosanna which I think will soon be gracing my walls...
